Ferrari 1100 Acer Notebook Computer Get Dislike…

I don’t know why wherever I read a comment on Ferrari 1100 Acer Notebook Computer I get a negative feedback to this ultraportable Glamour notebook, so many people says as an overprice product the performance is quite far from expectation.

To be honest if you compare it, I myself would choose other that suit the criteria of what I’m going to use it for compare to its price and perfomance, and I suppose with that kind amount of money people tends to expect more of what they are paid for…

I have managed to underline some of why people dislikes this Ferrari 1100:
- The Overwhelmed Price.
- For a 12″ Notebook which suppose to be ultraportable it’s to heavy.
- Battery life, Aproximately only 2 hours.
- Weak Speakers.

Althought I definietly agreed in above disllikes point, in general I probably give this ferrari 1100 3 stars over 5, and definietly a still consider to buy.

The pro’s says that it exclusivity will says the word, design from the collaboration of high taste, Cool Ferrari styling will appeal to some, its rigid solid build quality and with stylish ferrari carved into it who can resist the over, strong Photoshop performance, fingerprint reader, comfortable keyboard and trackpad, slot-loading DVD burner and Webcam, plenty of ports and connections, 4GB of RAM help justify the high price and with large hard drive, simply will do the talking…

This ferrari 1100 is great for it’s gaming capabilities They says…, well when you look at it’s spec I couldn’t agreed more, but with it’s battery’s life and it’s 12″ screen, I suppose all the gamer geeks who’s like to flies their time on their game, is going to be a litle bit hard doing their ritual…

I suppose for this one, for acer, brand expose is way more important than it’s product quality, it’s reach out for benchmarking in some of point found exclusivity is more important that’s why Ferrari is took for the partner, simply to boost it’s exclusiveness and we know ferrari is a genuine symbol of exclusivity, the looks, the designs and the price sure is tell us more that this ferrari 1100 Acer Notebook computer build for exclusivty…

Well like or dislike as long as it’s cathc the crowd eye, this one is going to fly all over the world, just seek it in amazon “Currently unavailable We don’t know when or if this item will be back in stock”, the word says it all…

What can you tell me about these notebook options?

I'm about to buy a new notebook computer (my old one is on its last leg) but need some advice about what will work well for me. I am a teacher, so I need the basics (word processing etc.) and I also work for a dance company where is need to do photo editing, music and video editing, cd/dvd burning etc. The computers I'm looking at right now are

Acer Aspire Notebook with Intel® Centrino® Duo Mobile Technology

Hewlett-Packard Pavilion Notebook with AMD Turion™ 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-50

What information can you give me about any of these?

Your requirements for photo/music/video editing mean you need a potent pc. Go 2GB of RAM. I'd suggest an Intel Core 2 Duo as well. Graphics capability will be key - read the PC World reviews. Also check CNet.com. A large harddrive for your video files will also be needed. This will be an expensive machine.

On brands, those three should be fine. Also consider Toshiba. Sony and Lenovo are good but probably more expensive.

I have a Celeron M 430 processor in my Acer notebook. What other processors are interchangeable with it?

I just got a new computer, but I don't like the operating speed of 1.73 GHz. I'm having trouble getting information about what CPU's will work in my notebook. Isn't there a table somewhere showing interchangeable CPU's?
I've seen website showing how to upgrade the CPU's in a laptop, but nothing to show how to select them.

First of all, is not a PROCESSOR, in laptops is a MICROPROCESSOR, and there's no way to change it like you see in desktops. This little guy is embeded on your MB, and you can't remove it.

The only way to make a laptop a little faster is by giving a large amount of memory to it and keep it clean, that means DEFRAGMENTING files and throwing out garbage… the list goes on.

What do you think of the Acer Aspire notebook?

I ordered a Acer Aspire 5570 notebook. It will only be used for internet surfing. Was this a good choice? This may sound like a stupid question, but is there any way to transfer data from my old notebook to the new one? Needless to say, I don't know much about computers!!

there lineup suggestions 4 u to follow, I mean to transfer the data from the original one to the Acer,
1. Burn the data to the CD/ DVD disc , and then copy the data to the Acer.
2. Copy the data 2 the removable disk, and then copy to the Acer notebook.
Also I think it's enough for the internet surfering…..

Hi, Acer make pretty dam good notebooks, but i say go with a Sony Vaio. Sony's have extremly well manufactured carbon fibre casings which are tough as nails and have a lot of the latest hardware. Ofcourse you cant get a piece of the latest technology without having to pay a hefty cost, and thats why Sony's can reach upwards of 3-4K dollers/ 1-2.5 thousand pounds. Other good notebook manufacturers include Toshiba, Dell, Alienware, Voodoo, Packard Bell, Asus, and yes Acer. Alienware, Dell and voodoo are an excellant choice if YOU want to say exactly goes into your model as there are a mass amount of customising options availiable. Acer are powerfull as they come, but do not keep up with technology. Asus are jam packed with things which make you go wow lol. Toshiba are good as they usually have 1-2gig of ram, 15.4-17" screens at high resolutions, good gfx cards etc.

If i were you i would definatly go with a Sony, perhaps have a look at the FE and AR series as they seem to be the companys best at the moment. For toshiba i recomand the Satelitte series, or the Qosmio. For Dell, the Inspirons and XPS are awsome. Alienware, Aurora and sentia are pretty good atm.
